Thru-Tubing Patch Thru Patch System

The Patch Thru-Patch (PTP) system uses a 2-1/8” stainless steel tube to seal the inside of perforated or damaged tubing. The tubing is selected for thickness and composition in order to have the ability to withstand significant pressure differentials, while still allowing another patch to pass through it and be set below (thus the patch through patch moniker).

Competing patches use thick-wall tubing that severely restricts the Inside Diameter of the pipe, limiting the ability to service lower sections of the tubing. The PTP system would ideally be used to seal off water incursion in offshore mono-bore wells with multiple zones. Further applications include CO2 and H2S isolation and also tubing repair when damaged/cracked tubing is discovered.
